Several Passengers Injured After New Jersey Transit Bus Crashes On Atlantic City Expressway In Hammonton

HAMMONTON, N.J. (CBS) -- Several passengers have been injured after a bus crashed on the Atlantic City Expressway on Tuesday morning. The crash happened in the westbound lanes in Hammonton, just past exit 28 at approximately 4:20 a.m.

 

The New Jersey Transit Bus lost control and crashed into the trees. The right lane on the AC Expressway westbound is currently blocked. 

According to N.J. Transit, seven passengers, and the operator were on board during the crash. Five passengers and the driver are being treated for injuries, officials say. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

 

The bus was on its way from Atlantic City to Philadelphia.

The crash is under investigation.
