1 Dead After Double Shooting In Norristown

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- One man is dead after a double shooting in Norristown, Montgomery County. Police are now warning residents in the area to take special safety precautions.

It happened Wednesday night on the 500 block of Cherry Street, just after 9 p.m.

Witnesses told police three men entered a home in what may have been an attempt to rob the residents.

Police found 66-year-old Ralph Williams. dead inside. A second man, who is believed to reside in the home, was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition.

Police do not have a description of the shooter.
