Ashley Judd Among Protesters In Philadelphia During DNC, Calls It 'Poetic' Experience

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- There is no shortage of celebrities in Philadelphia for the Democratic National Convention. Most of them have been inside the Wells Fargo Center, taking in speeches, or delivering them.

Police Detain Protesters, Several Attempt To Enter Secure Area Near DNC

On Tuesday, one actress was visible outside of the convention.

Ashley Judd was on hand among protesters in the streets of Philadelphia on Tuesday afternoon.

Judd was lending her voice and support to the message. "I was on my way to the criminal justice reform panel at truth to power and rock the vote and this is the most perfect and poetic diversion," she said of the protests.

Protesters marched for several causes on Tuesday, including Black Lives Matter protests and those carried out by supporters of Bernie Sanders.
