Armed Robbery Of Mayfair 7-Eleven Caught On Tape

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are searching for two suspects in connection with the armed robbery of a convenience store in Northeast Philadelphia.

The robbery happened at about 2:30 a.m. on December 23rd at the 7-Eleven store located in the 3300 block of Tyson Avenue in the city's Mayfair section.

Surveillance video shows both suspects enter the store wearing masks and guns drawn. Once inside, one of the suspects approached the front counter and demanded money, while the second suspect kept another employee at bay with a gun.

The suspects obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes before running out of the store.

Police say one of the suspects was inside the store 15 minutes prior to the robbery, possible casing the business.
