Armed Robbers Sought In Delco Bank Robbery

By Matt Rivers

WAYNE, Pa. (CBS) – Police are searching for two armed suspects they say robbed a TD Bank in Radnor Township, Delaware County Saturday morning.

This happened around 9 a.m. at the branch located on the 200 block of East Lancaster Avenue.

"Two males entered the store, brandishing what we believe to be a 9 mm handgun," explains Lt. Christopher Flanagan.

Surveillance video clearly shows one of the men pointing the gun at a teller. Police say they demanded the teller hand over money in the drawers. The employees cooperated and police say next, one robber placed his gun against the tellers neck, demanding more cash.

The suspects then covered their tracks and left the scene.

"They placed all of the staff in the rear of the store in the safe area and then flee down a local street," Lt. Flanagan says.

Now, police say, they are hopeful the suspects will be caught.

"They were in the area casing the bank, or watching the bank, and we would like any residents or any travelers through the area to please call us," Lt. Flanagan says.

Officials did not release exactly how much money wast taken, but police are offering a $7,500 reward for any information leading to the capture of the suspects.

An investigation continues.
