Area Massage Therapist Charged With Assaulting Client

WEST GOSHEN, Pa. (CBS) -- A man working as a massage therapist in the Chester County town of West Goshen has been arrested and charged with assaulting a female client while on the job.

James Deiter, 63, of Holtwood (Lancaster County), Pa., is now behind bars in lieu of $25,000 bail, charged with the sexual assault of a client who had been coming to him for massages since late last summer.

Deiter was employed at Massage Envy, in West Goshen.

Chester County first assistant district attorney Michael Noone called the crime "despicable" and said it might not be an isolated case.

"Based upon the fact that this defendant did this to this victim and did it after having legitimate massages for a period of about six months or so, we are very worried that there might be other people who are out there who were victimized by this defendant," he said.

Noone praises the client for going directly to the police.   He said they continue looking for other possible victims.  According to Noone, Deiter also worked at Massage Therapy, in Lancaster County.
