Area Man Draws Life Sentence For Sex Trafficking 3 Women, One A Minor
By Paul Kurtz
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A Chester man who pleaded guilty to charges of sex trafficking was sentenced today to life in prison.
Two of the three women who were victimized by Christian Dior Womack, 30, submitted impact statements to US District Court in Philadelphia, each saying they were still haunted by horrible memories and will never be the same.
Assistant US attorney Michelle Morgan says one of the victims was just turning 17 when she met Womack and co-defendant Rashida Brice at a casino in Atlantic City, NJ.
Brice was sentenced a couple of months ago to 15 years in prison.
"The defendants prevailed upon her by threatening her and being violent toward her, and took her to Maryland, Virginia, and back to some hotels at the airport area down in Philadelphia," Morgan notes. "In all of those occasions she was forced to engage in prostitution acts with various strangers."
Womack pleaded guilty to three counts of sex trafficking.
Federal judge Mitchell Goldberg listened to defense pleas for leniency but in the end stuck with the sentencing guidelines calling for life behind bars.
