Are The Riversharks Leaving Camden?

CAMDEN, NJ (CBS) -- Negotiations continue between the Camden Riversharks and the county, amid reports the minor-league baseball team may be moving to Connecticut.

Are the Riversharks leaving Camden after 15 years?  A County spokesman says negotiations continue between the financially-struggling Riversharks and the Camden County Improvement Authority, which bought Campbell's Field in April.

Riversharks General Manager Lindsay Rosenberg tells KYW Newsradio the team ownership has presented an offer to the Authority, but she couldn't comment on a report in the Hartford Courant, calling the independent Riversharks "a likely candidate" to replace the New Britain Rock Cats -- the double-A Colorado affiliate that's moving to Hartford next season.

Riversharks owner Frank Boulton confirmed to KYW negotiations are continuing, but didn't want to comment beyond that.

The Inquirer quotes sources saying Campbell's Field may play host to a different baseball team next season.
