Sunday will be a typical April day with highs in the upper 60s under sunny skies. You'll need to hang on to your hats, though, because winds will be gusting up to 35 mph from the northwest.
Another clear and crisp night is ahead with less breezy northwest winds and lows in the upper 40s.
Increased risk of rapid fire spread for Sunday afternoon, NWS says
On Sunday, the National Weather Service issued a special weather statement for several South Jersey counties and Kent County, Delaware.
The statement said there is an increased risk for rapid fire spread on Sunday afternoon due to minimum relative humidity values combined with northwest winds. The NWS said that these conditions, plus the continued drying of fine fuels, could rapidly spread any fire that ignites. The winds are expected to die down by early evening.
The special weather statement is in effect for the following counties: Camden, Gloucester, Salem, Ocean, northwestern and southeastern Burlington in New Jersey, and Kent in Delaware.
The NWS reminds residents in the Delaware Valley to fully extinguish any potential fire sources, including smoking materials. Any outdoor burning is discouraged.

Warmer week ahead
By Monday, we head back to the 70s under sunny skies, and the summer-like conditions will return Tuesday with partly sunny skies and highs in the low 80s.
A weak front will drop through the region late Tuesday night through early Wednesday morning, and high temperatures will drop a few degrees to near 80 on Wednesday.
May begins on Thursday with partly cloudy skies and highs in the mid-70s.
