AMTRAK Service Resumes After Fire Broke Out On Railroad, Officials Say

HAMILTON, N.J. (CBS) -- AMTRAK placed a hold on all westbound trains to Trenton N.J., due to a piece of railroad machinery that is on fire just east of Hamilton Station in Mercer County. The fire broke out on a work train between Trenton and Jersey Avenue Monday afternoon.

Around 5:30 p.m., officials said service has resumed between New York's Penn Station and Trenton Station, however, riders could have up to 90-minute-delays.

There are no reports of any injuries as officials investigate the cause of the fire
