'America's Toy Scout' Comes To Town Seeking Treasures

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Want to cash in on your collectables? A vintage toy buyer is offering sellers cash on the spot.

The Philadelphia Vintage Toy Buying Show took place Wednesday at the Courtyard Marriott in Wayne, Pennsylvania.

Local residents were selling their old toys and collectibles for cash right on the spot.

"I can meet you at $550. That's the best I can do," said Joel Magee, known as 'America's Toy Scout.'

Magee travels around the country buying your old toys and collectables.

"What we will do is restore it, we will fix it up and then we will get them back out to collectors after that," Magee said. Now, of course, we still love them if they are in pristine condition, but it's not required. We want people to bring them in any condition because we can always use parts.
