Allentown Police Searching For Missing 5-Year-Old Autistic Boy

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (CBS) --  Allentown Police are looking for a 5-year-old boy who went missing Thursday night at around 11 p.m.

Police say he was last seen running in the area of S. Aubrey Street and E. South Streets and was not wearing a coat, shoes or socks.

Authorities say the boy has autism and may run if he is approached.

Residents on Allentown's east side are urged to check their yards and sheds, but police have asked residents to refrain from searching in the wooded areas.

Police say anyone who comes in contact with the child should keep him in sight and call 911 immediately.
