Alleged Wawa Coffee Thief Comes Forward

By David Madden

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Suburban authorities have caught up with an alleged Wawa coffee thief.

Authorities in West Goshen, Chester County earlier this week announced they were looking for a woman who stole bags of ground coffee from more than 40 Wawa stores in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland over the past few months.

The alleged thief would steal from one store, only to return the merchandise to another for a cash refund.

It's thought the thefts cost the chain more than $3,000.

Now comes word that 48-year-old Rebecca Julian of Wilmington, Delaware has stepped forward to detectives and admitted she had been behind the thefts.

Julian was released with charges pending against her.
