Northeast Extension SB Reopens Following Accident In Montgomery County

FRANCONIA TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) --  All southbound lanes on the Northeast Extension have reopened to traffic following an accident in Franconia Township, Montgomery County.

The PA Turnpike Commission says the southbound lanes of the Northeastern Extension (Interstate 476) between Quakertown Interchange (Exit #44) and Lansdale Interchange (Exit #31) are now open.

The accident happened around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, according to officials.

Officials say the driver was taken to the hospital.

Officials say the overturned tractor trailer at milepost 34.2 has been cleared and the debris has been removed from the roadway.
