Alain Locke Elementary School Placed On Lockdown After Ammunition Found

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- An elementary school in West Philadelphia was placed on lockdown after ammunition was found at the school on Thursday afternoon.

Alain Locke Elementary School, which is located on the 4500 block of Haverford Avenue, was placed on lockdown just before 12:30 p.m.

Police say a 7-year-old got caught playing with two bullets.

Police dogs were brought in to search the school, but didn't find any other threats.

Investigators say the boy told a teacher he took the bullets from home.

They're talking to his parents tonight.
