AG, State Police Probing 'Pattern Of Voter Registration Irregularities' Across PA

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Pennsylvania's Attorney General says, while it's premature to reach any conclusions, his office and state police are investigating a "pattern of voter registration irregularities across the Commonwealth."

Chuck Ardo, spokesman for Attorney General Bruce Beemer, says right now, the thrust of the investigation of voter registration irregularities is FieldWorks, an organization that canvasses for Democrats.

State Police executed search warrants on FieldWorks offices in Philadelphia and Delaware County. But Ardo says the investigation is broader than that.

"The office has had communications from a number of boards of elections across the Commonwealth. Several of those boards had concerns about registration forms submitted by FieldWorks," said Ardo.

Governor Wolf said Friday that the investigation should reassure voters that the appropriate agencies are working to ensure fair elections in Pennsylvania.
