Advocacy Group Says Equality Fight Isn't Over Despite Same Sex Marriage Ruling

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Yesterday's Supreme Court decision legalizing same sex marriage in every state is being seen as a huge victory, but advocates say the struggle is not over.

Equality New Jersey's Andrea Bowen says this was an amazing win, but the battle is far from over.

"There's still youth who go to school and get bullied viciously. We have older adults who are going to older adult housing and going back in the closet. We still have so. so much work to do."

New Jersey was a leader in same sex marriage and banning discrimination. In Pennsylvania, it's a different story.

Levana Layendecker of Equality PA says, "Over the past ten years, there have been bills introduced to make sure that gay and transgender people are protected. We expect bills to be introduced in this session very soon."

But currently, it's legal to discriminate against LGBT people in PA, except when it comes to marriage.
