AC/DC Postpones Philadelphia Show And Tour Due To Health Issues
The "Rock Or Bust" tour from AC/DC appears headed for the latter.
Monday night, the band announced the postponement of their ten upcoming tour stops – including the April 1st date at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia – as doctors have advised lead singer Brian Johnson to stop touring due to risk of "total hearing loss".
According to a press release the shows will be made up later in the year, likely with a guest vocalist.
This is the latest blow to AC/DC as we've come to know them. In 2014, founding member and guitarist Malcolm Young was forced to retire due to dementia. Also, the band has been touring without drummer Phil Rudd because of ongoing legal issues in New Zealand.
