ASTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) – The hunt for an accused child rapist is over as police found David Allen Hamilton hiding in a home in Delaware County on Friday morning.

"We received the tip this morning that David Hamilton was on the 100 block of Roberts Road here in Aston Township," said Aston Township Police Detective Thomas Giancristoforo. "The Aston police and U.S. Marshals Office checked that residence and found David Hamilton."

Earlier this week, a tipster snapped a pictured of the accused child predator in a wooded area near Solebury Township. Then a car he allegedly stole was spotted in Bear, Delaware.

Hamilton, who is accused of raping two young girls, was found hiding in the second-floor closet of his relative's home in Aston Township.

As he was being transported for arraignment, Hamilton had a lot to say about the accusations against him and why he ran.

"No, innocent until proven guilty and I hope there is a good lawyer out there who will help me," Hamilton said.

When he was asked why he ran, Hamilton said, "Because I know how the courts, the law is nowadays with all these cases. People assume you are guilty until proven innocent."

Hamilton's charges for child rape are out of Southampton Township, where he will be arraigned. He will also be arraigned in Solebury Township for the alleged assault of an officer.

Hamilton will likely remain in jail without bail since he has already proven himself to be a flight risk.
