Acclaimed Old City Restaurant Offering New Tasting Menu Celebrating Pennsylvania

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – It's a meal that tells a story.

Chef Eli Kulp, of Old City's Fork, is introducing a new chef's tasting menu that incorporates the traditions and culture of Pennsylvania.

Called "Our Terroir," the multi-course, locally-inspired feast will showcase locally grown produce and meats and will be available from Tuesday through Saturday.

"Our goal, as an ever-evolving restaurant, is for our food to reflect the changing seasons and the region we call home. We believe Eli's winter menu captures that with tremendous flavor and elegance," owner Ellen Yin said in a release.

And in case you're wondering what kinds of dishes will be offered, think Shaved Apple Salad with wild hickory nuts and ginger shrub, and Brown Butter Noodles, a Pennsylvania Dutch specialty that includes house-made spaghetti with smoked pork jowel, farm egg and local pecorino cheese.

But if you're thinking of heading over for a taste in the next couple days, just take note that the special menu will not be offered on Valentine's Day.
