WB Schuylkill Expressway Reopens After Earlier Accident

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- All lanes have of the westbound Schuylkill Expressway in Center City have reopened following an accident Wednesday morning.

The crash happened about 6:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-76 near 30th Street Station when an SUV rolled over and landed on its side.

The crash forced the closure of all the westbound lanes in the area for about an hour as emergency crews cleared the scene.

Traffic in the westbound direction was jammed from Passyunk Avenue and 26th Street to 30th Street underpass.

VIEW: LATEST TRAFFIC

Traffic was also crawling on the eastbound side from City Avenue to 30th Street where the left lane was closed.

The crash caused major delays for the morning commute.

There was no immediate word on any injuries or on what caused the accident.
