Police: 1 Dead When Caravan Struck By Dump Truck In Burlington

BURLINGTON, N.J. (CBS) -- Police say one person was killed when a caravan was struck by a dump truck on Route 130 in Burlington on Tuesday morning.

Police responded to the accident at Route 130 and Columbus Road around 11 a.m.

The driver and one passenger in the caravan were transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton. Another passenger in the caravan was transported to Lourdes Medical Center in Willingboro and pronounced dead a short time later.

The driver of the dump truck was not injured.

The accident closed down the intersection for a period of time.

The victims' identities have not been released. Police are continuing to investigate.
