A Wet Wednesday

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Today, a warm front will trigger showers and even a thunderstorm. Temperatures will again be mild, into the upper 70s. Heavy rain is currently off to the west, but we are expecting to get clipped by some of that as the day goes on.
Thursday should feature some more sun, but the threat for a shower or thunderstorm lingers as a cold front approaches.
A cooler air mass will build in on Friday into the start of the holiday weekend. Other than a stray shower Friday and Saturday, the weekend is looking good, with each day getting progressively nicer leading up to Memorial Day.
Today In Weather History:
1895 -- The temperature at Norwalk, OH, dipped to 19 degrees to set a state record for the month of May.
1896 -- A year later, the mercury soared to 124 degrees at Salton, CA, to establish a U.S. record for May.
