PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --  The Mann Center presents a night of Gershwin with the Philadelphia Orchestra on Friday, June 26.

Catherine Cahill, President and CEO of the Mann Center for the Performing Arts, gave an overview of the concert.

"We're doing a wonderful celebration of some of Gershwin's most popular and beloved works. Selections from 'Girl Crazy,' 'Rhapsody in Blue,' selections from 'Porgy and Bess'and, of course, 'An American in Paris.'"

She shared more details about the event, saying, "Taylor Johnson and Norman Garret as our soprano and baritone, who you'll be hearing in 'Porgy and Bess' and then Terrence Wilson will be on piano, of course, in 'Rhapsody in Blue.' Again, highlights the best of Gershwin with wonderful soloists under the baton of Christian Macelaru with, of course, the fabulous Philadelphians, our great Philadelphia Orchestra."
