A Mixed End To The Week, A Great Memorial Day

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Thursday will start off with scattered showers and some thunderstorms. By midday, we should see some sunshine before another brief round later today into this evening as you make your way home. It will again be mild, in the upper 70s.
Tonight should be mainly dry, as well as the start of Friday. However, a disturbance in New England will cause some showers to pop up and drop down from the north during the daytime heating hours.
This will be the story for Saturday as well, but with more sunshine. Neither of those days will be complete washouts. Friday will be cooler, low 70s, and Saturday will warm up a few degrees to the mid-70s.
After that, high pressure builds in from the Great Lakes, and Sunday and Memorial Day look like gems! Sunshine is expected both days, warming into the upper 70s on Sunday and low 80s on Monday.
If you are heading down to the shore this weekend, make sure to apply sunscreen. As is generally the case, it will be a few degrees cooler at the beach. Keep in mind, water temperatures are still very chilly!
