A Few Showers, Then Staying Comfortable

By Justin Drabick

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --  The last full week of Summer will be feeling more like Fall as a cool and quiet weather pattern remains in place for most of the week.  After starting off Monday in the 40s and 50s, temperatures rebounded into the 70s with sunny skies.  However, clouds will continue to thicken up tonight as a cold front approaches.  There will be a chance for a few showers very early Tuesday morning, mainly before daybreak.  Skies will then begin to clear up by mid morning with plenty of sunshine for the afternoon.  High temperatures will remain below average in the mid 70s with overnight lows in the 40s and 50s.

A tough a dip in the jet stream will develop for the second half of the week.  This will keep high temperatures below average in the low to mid 70s with sunshine, through the end of the work week.  The jet streak will then begin to lift back north during the weekend.  This will allow temperatures to briefly return to near or above average for the second half of the weekend.
