9-Year-Old Boy Struck & Killed In Hit-And-Run In Lehigh County

EASTON, Pa. (AP) — Authorities have released the name of a 9-year-old boy who authorities say was struck and killed by a vehicle that left the scene of the eastern Pennsylvania accident.

The Lehigh County coroner's office said Darious Condash was crossing a five-lane road with friends just before 6:30 p.m. Friday about a half-mile from his home in Hanover Township.

Colonial Regional police say he dropped some candy and ran back to pick it up when he was struck by a car. He was pronounced dead a little over an hour later at St. Luke' s Hospital.

Police are seeking a gray or silver car that may have front-end damage. They are asking anyone with information about the vehicle or driver to call investigators.
