76ers Will Host Military Appreciation Night On Veterans Day

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Philadelphia 76ers will host Military Appreciation night on Wednesday, November 11th as part of their season long "Stars and Stripes" this Veterans Day.

The Sixers will give the first 5,000 fans in attendance to Wednesday's game vs. the Toronto Raptors a "Stars and Stripes" rally towel. Active military and veterans will receive FREE tickets at the box office with a military ID.

During the game, the Sixers will honor over 2,000 servicemen and women, while the first "Salute a Soldier" segment will be conducted during the game where the Sixers recognize an active or retired member of the military.

Sixers fans will be able to write notes and record video messages of encouragement to be sent to active military, while select messages will be played on the videoboard.
