7-Eleven In West Oak Lane Robbed At Gunpoint

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are searching for an armed suspect who robbed a convenience store in Philadelphia early Wednesday morning.

The robbery happened at about 1 a.m. at the 7-Eleven store in the 7700 block of Ogontz Avenue in the city's West Oak Lane section.

According to investigators, the suspect entered the store, approached an employee and announced a robbery.

Authorities say the suspect stole the employee's wallet, as well as money from the register, totaling approximately $200 in cash.

The suspect then ran out of the store.

There were no reports of any injuries.

Investigators are checking the store's surveillance cameras in hopes of identifying the suspect.
