U.S. Defeats Australia 3-1 In World Cup Opener
WINNIPEG, Manitoba (CBS) -- The United States defeated Australia Monday night at the Women's World Cup.
In the 12th minute, Megan Rapinoe scored for the U.S., and they took the lead, 1-0.
In the second half, the match was tied until Christen Press scored in the 61st minute.
The U.S. went on to defeat Australia, 3 to 1.
