Fundraiser For Philadelphia Police K-9 Unit To Take Place In Northeast Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A fundraiser for the Philadelphia Police K-9 unit will take place next Saturday on the grounds of Philadelphia's only remaining Delaware River estate from the gilded age. Animal lovers and their dogs are invited.

Glen Foerd On the Delaware and public park in is Torresdale. Meg Sharp Walton is the executive director there and she says Howl-o-ween Hound Day will be held next Saturday and all are welcome, including your leashed dog.

"We are going to have doggie treats and human treats here, face painting, crafts for kids and old fashioned games. We are having a nail salon for the dogs."

The event begins at 10 a.m. and supports Philadelphia's Police K-9 Unit. You can pay at the gate. It costs $10 a person, $1 per dog. Children three and under are free.
