4 NJ Street Gang Members Convicted On Drug, Weapons Charges

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) — Federal prosecutors say four members of a criminal street gang that used threats, intimidation and violence to maintain control of the illegal drug trade in Atlantic City have been convicted on conspiracy and weapons charges.

The defendants now face lengthy prison terms, although a sentencing date has not been set. They were convicted Friday by a jury in Camden that deliberated about five hours.

Prosecutors say the Atlantic City men — 21-year-old Kareem Bailey; Terry Davis and Lamar Macon, both 26, and 24-year-old Dominique Venable — were members of a gang known as "Dirty Block," ''Crime Fam," ''3.6.6.12," or "3.6."

They were among 34 people charged after the gang was taken down in March 2013. Prosecutors say the gang controlled heroin sales through gun violence, including at least one homicide.
