13 Injured In Accident Involving Trolley, Vehicle In Southwest Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – SEPTA officials say 13 people were taken to the hospital following an accident involving a trolley and a vehicle in Southwest Philadelphia.

It happened around 5:45 p.m. Monday near Woodland Avenue and 46th Street.

SEPTA says a Route 11 trolley was traveling westbound on Woodland Avenue when it collided with a vehicle at 46th Street.

Eyewitness News is told 11 passengers on the trolley and two people in the vehicle have been taken to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.

Police are investigating the accident.
