3rd Arrest Made Following Assault At Philadelphia Elementary School
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A third person has been arrested following an assault at a Philadelphia elementary school.
On March 25th around 2:30 p.m., Philadelphia Police responded to Jay Cooke Elementary School at 1300 W. Louden Street to assist School Police (see previous story).
Upon entering, officers were told by School Police that the parents of a student who attended the school had entered the building along with several additional family members and began to assault students and school officials. According to police, the victims were punched and pushed into lockers. The suspects then fled the school.
One person had to be taken to the hospital for a concussion.
Police say Richard Jordan, 44, of Unity Street, was arrested on Monday. Jordan is charged with 12 counts of Simple Assault Recklessly Endangered Another Person, Criminal Conspiracy, and related offenses.
Marion Oliver, 42, of N. 16th Street, and her daughter, 14, were arrested on March 28th (See previous story). Both are charged with 12 counts of Simple Assault, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Conspiracy and related offenses.
The Philadelphia District Attorney's Office says Jordan was arraigned on Tuesday and bail was set at $225,000.
