3-year-old boy shot, killed in Allentown identified: Police

3-year-old boy fatally shot in Allentown identified by Lehigh County Coroner's Office

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (CBS) -- Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a toddler in Allentown. It happened on the 900 block of East Hamilton Street on Thursday, officials said. 

Police say they were called to a home around noon for a report of a 3-year-old boy, identified as Elijah Abreu Borgen, who was suffering from a gunshot wound.

The little boy died at the Emergency Department at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest just before 1 p.m. 

Officials are still investigating what led up to the shooting and said there's no danger to the public. There are also no charges in this case as of yet.
