TREDYFFRIN Twp., Pa. (CBS) -- Police in Tredyffrin Township have filed charges against three middle school students in a sexting and porn investigation that dates back to last school year.

Tredyffrin Police Sergeant Todd Bereda says much of the evidence revolves around selfies taken by students at Valley Forge and Tredyffrin-Easttown Middle Schools.

"We found that a number of children were involved in possessing and sending intimate images of juveniles, as well as some involving child pornography involving school-aged children."

In one incident, Bereda says one of the juveniles took a pornographic photo and used it to harass a female classmate. In another case, one student offered to sell a pornographic photo of a classmate to another student.

The young suspects range in age from 11 to 15. Charges include obscenity, indecent assault, stalking and harassment.
