"Tisha" is a Tosa Inu, approximately two to three years old. The shelter says she loves people and playing with her toys. She's also good on a leash but is somewhat picky when it comes to foods and is unsure of new dogs. The pup is currently on pain medication for an old leg injury.

"Liberty" is a one to two-year-old Siberian Husky. The shelter says she's picky with her food and also needs leash training. The dog is unsure of new people but accepts petting.

The animals were rescued as part of an international effort to end the farming of dogs for meat by directing Korean farmers to other economic activities.

All three pups received a vet check-up before entering the states and given additional medical attention, rehabilitation and some dog training before arriving to shelters to help streamline adoption.

"These dogs have overcome insurmountable odds, and have traveled a great distance to find someone to provide them with the love and care they deserve," said Freeholder Jeff Nash, liaison to the Camden County Animal Shelter. "These dogs, along with other animals, are waiting for you to provide them with their forever home."

Adoption applications are available at the shelter which is off of County House Road in Blackwood. Visit the shelter's website for more info or call 856-401-1300 ext. 102.
