23-Year-Old Student Charged With Threatening Camden County College

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ (CBS) --  Police in Gloucester Township have arrested a 23-year-old woman they say made a threat to Camden County College via email.  Martha Ruiz, of Camden, is accused of sending a threatening email to the school's Vice Dean just after 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Authorities say the message was sent from the Cyber Cafe at the College, which is open to the public. It stated, "THERE IS A THREAT COMING TO THIS CAMPUS TOMORROW AT 130 PM!"

Police and CCC's Public Safety Department quickly determined it was a non-threat and believe the suspect sent the email to disrupt classes because she was angry with school administrators.

Ruiz, who's a student at the college, was charged with 3rd degree False Public Alarm and released. A court date is pending.
