21-Year-Old Charged In Stabbing Death Of Her Grandfather In Allentown

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (CBS) – A 21-year-old female has been charged in the stabbing death of her grandfather who was found the morning of Tuesday, March 11.

Sixty-five-year-old Wilson A. Mejias was found in the bedroom of his apartment at 841 S. 12th Street where he lived with his granddaughter, Chene Mejias.

According to an affidavit of probable cause prepared by an Allentown detective, on Tuesday at about 2:26 a.m., police received a call from authorities in Bronx, NY, reporting that a female came to their department and told them that a man had been killed inside of an Allentown apartment.

When police went to check the apartment, they found the victim covered in bedding, towels, sheets and plastic bags.

Lehigh County Coroner Scott Grim ruled the manner of death as homicide and the cause of death as multiple stab wounds.

The 21-year-old woman is being detained in New York.
