2 Wounded When Shooters Open Fire On Car In Trenton

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Two people sitting in a car in New Jersey's capital city were wounded when two people approached their vehicle and started shooting.

Trenton police say the shooting on Poplar Street occurred around 11 p.m. Friday.

A 19-year-old woman was shot several times in the torso and was taken to a hospital, where she remained Saturday in stable condition. A 25-year-old man was treated for a graze wound to his foot.

The victims' names were not disclosed.

A motive for the shooting has not been determined, and no arrests have been made.

Further details on the shooting, including what type of weapon was used, have not been disclosed.
