2 Suspects Arrested In Philadelphia For Allegedly Committing Multiple Robberies In One Day
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia Police say they've arrested two suspected believed to have committed several robberies within an 11 hour period earlier this month.
On Dec. 3, three robberies were committed at businesses by an unknown female who fled in a white pick-up truck.
The first happened around 3:15 a.m. at a Wawa at 7236 Germantown Avenue. The suspect acted like she was making a purchase then demanded money and revealed a handgun on her hip. After the employee handed her cash, she fled.
Hours later, the same woman robbed a Rite Aid at 6101 N Broad Street and was seen fleeing in a white pick-up truck.
And at 2:45 p.m. the same day, the suspect robbed a Dunkin' Donuts at 1325 East Washington Lane, where a white pick-up was observed dropping her off before the robbery.
Then, on Dec. 9, police spotted the pick-up being operated at Olney and Ogontz Avenue and made a traffic stop.
After an investigation, the driver was identified as the suspect, Kenneth Lowe, 56, who participated in two of the robberies.
Shortly thereafter, the second suspect was identified as Tracey Perry, 44. She was arrested for the three robberies.
Perry is charged with three counts of robbery and related offenses, while Lowe is facing charges of two counts of robbery and related offenses.
