2 Shots At Snow This Weekend, With An Eye On Possible Sneaky Snow Monday

By Katie Fehlinger

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The forecast hasn't changed much for the weekend. We still expect two separate batches of light snow.

However, Monday may have a trick up its sleeve with an additional round of snow to kick off the work week.

Several of the early morning model runs Friday have a third piece of energy that would develop over the Midwest and Plains and eventually roll through our area Monday. So the possibility exists that we see a few inches of snow in addition to what we get through the weekend. It's still just a chance, but something to watch.

In the meantime, a quick recap for the weekend: light snow showers are still expected Saturday as the Delaware Valley gets clipped by the northwest fringe of System #1. System #2 moves in from Canada on Sunday with cold air and widespread, but still light snowfall. As a whole, the weekend likely produces no more than a few inches in total, generally 1-3".

Stay warm!
