2 Philly Restaurants Make GQ's List Of 2015's Best

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The accolades continue to pour in for Philadelphia's restaurant scene.

Now, GQ has named two Philly spots to its list of the "25 Most Outstanding Restaurants of 2015."

First up is Nicholas Elmi's BYOB, Laurel, at number eight.

"Hard to imagine a kitchen in Philly accomplishing what the South has been trying to do for centuries: make catfish elegant," GQ writes. "Chef Nicholas Elmi does it gracefully."

"Stylishness has come to East Passyunk Avenue, once ground zero for cheesesteaks, now fast emerging as Philly's premier dining locale," the blurb continues.

Another Philadelphia spot to make the roundup? Marc Vetri's recently opened Lo Spiedo, located at the Navy Yard.

"Come here for a little history and a lot of meat," GQ urges. "Here you'll find glorified Americanized Italian food, including a gutsy celery-root milanese sandwich."

Other restaurants to make the list include Trove, in Seattle, and Ananda, in Fulton, Maryland.
