ROYERSFORD, Pa. (CBS) -- Two Pennsylvania state troopers were hurt and a suspect is in custody after a high-speed chase that started in Reading, Pa. and ended with a crash in Montgomery County.

Reading police say they were chasing 35-year-old Daniel Arroyo-Vazquez after he got into a victim's car at gunpoint, injected heroin, and eventually drove off, leaving the victim behind.

Starting about 11 p.m., Reading officers were joined by other departments as they chased Vazquez from Berks County to Montgomery County.

Authorities say he tried to hit a couple of police cars while trying to flee. About 1:45 a.m., on Route 422 East in Royersford, state police boxed him in.  Two troopers suffered minor injuries after Vazquez slammed into their car, according to investigators.

Vazquez was checked out at the hospital and is now facing a laundry list of charges including five counts of aggravated assault on police officers and carrying an unlicensed firearm.
