2 Injured In Crash Involving SEPTA Bus In Center City

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Two people were injured after a crash involving a SEPTA bus in Center City Monday morning.

The crash happened at about 9:30 a.m. at 22nd Street and the Ben Franklin Parkway.

Chopper 3 HD was over the scene shortly after the crash where it appeared a sedan was struck in the right side by a Route 27 SEPTA bus.

The sedan ended up on the sidewalk and the impact of the crash caused a utility pole to be knocked down.

According to investigators, a 21-year-old female and a 25-year-old male were injured in the crash. They were both taken to Hahnemann University Hospital for treatment.

It was not immediately how many passengers were aboard the SEPTA bus.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
