2 Injured In Accident Involving SEPTA Bus, Car And Pedestrians In North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are investigating an accident involving a bus, a vehicle and pedestrians.

The crash happened around 4 p.m. at 7th and Lehigh. A vehicle apparently rear-ended a Route 54 SEPTA bus, then went on to strike several additional vehicles before hitting a group of pedestrians.

While there were no injuries to the passengers on the bus, the driver was reportedly shaken up and was taken to Temple University Hospital.

Two young pedestrians, both females, were taken to St. Christopher's with minor injuries. They are in stable condition.

While no charges have been filed, police believe the driver of the striking vehicle may have been under the influence.
