2 Hurt When Stolen Car Overturns On NJ Turnpike

RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J. (AP) — Two men traveling in a stolen car were injured when the vehicle overturned on the New Jersey Turnpike.

State police say the crash occurred around 8 p.m. Saturday in the local northbound lanes of the highway in Ridgefield Park.

The driver was ejected from the car and was hospitalized with serious injuries, while the passenger was hospitalized in stable condition. Their names and further details on their injuries were not disclosed.

The car had been reported stolen around 7:20 p.m. from a parking lot at the Six Flags Great Adventure theme park in Jackson Township.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

It's not yet known what charges the two injured people may face.
