MALVERN, Pa., (CBS) -- Two men are being charged with firearms-related offenses after setting off a lockdown at a school in Chester County Thursday morning.

The Chester County prosecutor's office says 22-year-old Jibri Marquese Richardson of Ardmore, Pa. and 59-year-old Michael O'Brien of Glen Mills, Pa. are being charged after they were spotted headed into a wooded area behind Malvern Preperatory High School carrying a rifle.

A school official called 911 at 8:40 a.m. to report the two men with the gun, and the school was placed on lockdown after the men began firing shots in the woods. Malvern Borough Police quickly responded, and apprehended the men as they were leaving the school's property. Richardson and O'Brien had set up a target in the woods, and were firing a 22-caliber rifle.

Both men are now being charged with possession of a weapon on school property, criminal trespass, and disorderly conduct.
