2 Charged In Armed Robbery Of Twins

WOODBURY, N.J. (AP) — Two people stand accused of conspiring to rob a twin brother and sister, and authorities say another alleged conspirator was killed in a hit-and-run crash involving a car driven by the brother.

Gloucester County prosecutors say 33-year-old Anthony Young Jr., of Gibbstown and 30-year-old Christine Demore, of Paulsboro, were armed with a .45 caliber semiautomatic handgun when the robbery occurred last May.

Their alleged co-conspirator, 30-year-old Eddie Warthen of Greenwich Township, died later that day after being struck in Paulsboro by a car that authorities say was driven by Robert Springer.

The 26-year-old Washington Township man faces several counts, including murder and hindering prosecution.

His twin sister, Jessica, is charged with tampering with evidence and hindering, and both remain jailed in lieu of bail.
