2 Arrested After Video Of NE Philly Wawa Brawl Goes Viral

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Two people have been arrested and face a number of charges related to a brawl inside of a Wawa in Northeast Philadelphia.

Surveillance video shows a group unruly people throwing items and picking fights with other customers and staff at the Wawa at Torresdale and Levick.

One customer had his shirt pulled over his head, then was punched and kicked by several members of the group.

Police say 43-year-old Barbara Bayona and 20-year-old Jonathan Rodriguez, of nearby Ditman Street, were identified through video and have been taken into custody.

Both were charged with riot, criminal mischief, simple assault and other offenses.

The incident happened Saturday, July 29th.

A video of the skirmish has been viewed nearly a million times.

Wawa officials say it caused about $700 of damage at the store.
